“在线黄页”大概是从雅虎目录开始的。实际上“黄页”这个形式不仅可以用来展示商务机构，广义地讲，任何一种需要分类展示的信息都可以采取这种形式。在 Joomla! 平台上，最好用的分类信息展示组件有两个：Mosets Tree 和 Sigsiu Online Business Index 2（简称 SOBI2）。目前这两个都针对 Joomla! 1.0.x 平台，但是前者是收费软件， 后者则完全免费（GNU）。SOBI2 的设计初衷也是用于分类展示公司信息，如名称、地址、联系方式、地图、相关介绍、公司 Logo 图像等等，但是对界面语言稍加修改，即可用于展示各种分类信息：产品展示、软件库展示等等。今天介绍的就是 SOBI2 幕后的英雄：

My name is Radek Suski (aka Neo or neo_fox). In fact my real surname is Radosław, but there are not many people who are able to read this name. So I use the short form - Radek ;-)

I'm born on September 28th, 1978 in Bytom, Upper Silesian in Poland.

I live in Germany in the South-Hessian village Schaafheim near by Frankfurt on the Main, directly at the border to Bavaria.

5. What did you do for Joomla! ?

Already in 2004 we had the first contact with the CMS Mambo and built our own company site with it. In recent years we have specialized in the development of extensions for Joomla! and Mambo and developed the directory components SOBI1 and SOBI2 for Joomla! and Mambo which are published under the GNU/LGPL license.

Sigsiu Online Business Index 2 is the best directory extension for Joomla!. It has a wide range of application possibilities. Thus it can be used as a directory for companies, clubs, persons, shops, products and much more.

Additionally we offer a lot of free and paid add-ons for SOBI2 which enhance the functionality of the directory component.
We also created the site Joomla! Specialists using our directory component SOBI2.

6. What do you think of Joomla and its future?

Joomla! is the best existing Content Management system at the moment. The prominent position is confirmed by the fact that Joomla! wins many contests. With version 1.5 the Joomla! team has modernized the core code and upgraded Joomla! to be the perfect tool to create a professional Internet portal.

But Joomla! is not only a CMS, it is also a huge community of great people who use their time and energy for this project. Joomla! doesn't consist only of just a piece of PHP code, but also of a large number of web sites, created to help the Joomla! users. These are sites like Joomla! Extensions Directory, Joomla! Documentation Portal, The Joomla! Forum, The Joomla! Community Portal, a lot of local Joomla! community sites and many other useful sites about Joomla!. In my opinion, when we talk about Joomla!, we talk about the people who create and support Joomla!.

The great advantage of Joomla! is the large number of software developers who create extensions for Joomla! which makes it possible to extend Joomla! with new functionality and to use Joomla! in different ways.

If we take this into consideration, Joomla! has a great future ahead.


7. What do you want to say to Chinese Joomla users ?

Have much fun with Joomla! and SOBI2, and don't forget to give something back to the Joomla! community. The Joomla project, as many 3rd party projects too, needs your help. I think the best method to help Joomla! is not only a donation, but also active commitment, like answering in support forums, creating translations or documentations.

8. Introduce your team or company if you have one

I study informatics at Hochschule Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. Together with my wife Sigrid, I run a company called Sigsiu.NET [ɕigɕiu.nɛt] http://www.sigsiu.net where I am the development leader for developing components for Joomla! and Mambo.

My wife studied electrotechnics before she started to work as a software engineer for industrial products. She is mainly responsible for the design solutions and documentation. Together we build the SOBI2 development team.

Sigsiu.NET is member of the Joint Commercial Developers Association JCDA.
